What are monofilament wigs?

Monofilament wigs are wigs that use a sheer, translucent mesh that covers the entirety or a single part of the crown of the head. The advantage of monofilament wigs is that they provide an illusion of natural hair movement by having the hairs individually connected to the monofilament segments.

Due to the transparency of the mesh, monofilament wigs also create a convincing illusion of natural hair growth. These wigs feature several adjustable tabs as part of the mesh, allowing wearers to customize the circumference of the wig by manipulating the bendable wires. The front part of the wig is made from polyurethane, making it easy for wearers to apply an adhesive, if necessary, to secure the wig.
