How do you mop a floor?

To mop a floor, sweep the floor and mop it with a mop dampened with a mixture of hot water and mopping solution. You need a sponge mop, a bucket, a wringer, hot water and mopping solution to complete this task.

1. Sweep the floor, and prepare the mopping solution

   Sweep the floor to remove loose dirt and expose the dirty spots. Mix hot water and mopping solution in a bucket.

2. Mop the floor

   Soak the sponge mop in the solution, and squeeze out water with a wringer on the mopping bucket. Mop the floor in straight lines in sections from the top to the bottom of the room so you don't stand on the mopped floor.

3. Rinse the floor

   Empty the bucket, and refill it with clean water. Repeat step two above to rinse the floor.
