A moringa tree, also known as Moringa oleifera, is a subtropic tree that is native to India. Most of the tree is edible and highly nutritious.
The moringa tree is also called the horseradish tree. The seeds and leaves are edible. Growing a moringa tree requires full sun along with soil that drains well and has a neutral pH. Loamy soils and sandy soils are preferable, although clay soil can be used if it drains. The tree should be pruned to encourage fruiting. The tree is used as a source of food for underdeveloped countries that have a shortage of food.
