What do mouse droppings look like?

Mouse droppings are usually black in color, pointed on the ends and slightly thicker in the middle. While there can be a variance in size due to the size of the mouse, for the most part the droppings resemble a piece of dark rice.
Fresh mouse droppings are usually darker in color than older ones, and they can be found in concentrated amounts near bedding and nesting areas. Droppings that are a bit bigger are usually caused by rats or squirrels, and they can carry harmful bacteria and disease and should be removed by a professional who is experienced with wildlife cleanup.
