When was the movie "Dolphin Tale" released?

"Dolphin Tale" premiered in Clearwater, Florida, on Sept. 21, 2011 and was released nationwide on Sept. 23, 2011. The initial DVD release date for the film was Dec. 20, 2011. The film received mostly positive reviews.

The sequel, "Dolphin Tale 2," was released on Sept. 12, 2014, and the DVD was released on Dec. 9, 2014. Critics did not rate the sequel as well as the first film.
