What is Mr. Pibb Xtra?

Mr. Pibb Xtra, also called Pibb Xtra, is a variant of Mr. Pibb soda that has a different flavor. There are no significant changes to the formula other than the taste, which comes mostly from added cinnamon.

Mr. Pibb Xtra was first test marketed in Texas in the summer of 2001. It was released to other states several months later. As of 2014, it is available across much of the United States. In some states, Pibb Xtra is sold but the original Mr. Pibb is not. Cherry and cherry-vanilla variants of the formula can be found in some Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. Pibb Xtra has the same nutritional content and calorie count as the original Mr. Pibb formula.
