How much is a 20-pence piece with no date worth?

A 20-pence piece with no date is worth between £25 and £50, according to Token Publishing. The coins were issued in error by the Royal Mint in November 2008. Less than 250,000 were minted.
Shortly after the coins were issued, some experts predicted that they would be worth roughly £50, depending on condition. Other experts predicted that the price would climb towards £300 within a decade. A 2009 auction on eBay closed at £7,100 for a single coin, but it was uncertain if that amount was ever paid to the seller, says The Independent. Buyers should be wary. Older versions of the 20-pence coin had the date on the reverse, and disreputable sellers sometimes offer these as the no-date version.
