How much electricity does a TV use?
By Forinfos - 07/02/2026 - 0 comments
The most accurate method to determine how much electricity a TV uses is to multiply the wattage of the television by how many hours per day it's used. Divide that number by 1,000 to calculate the daily kilowatts per hour expenditure.
Once the daily kilowatts per hour is determined, multiply that number by the number of days in the year that the TV is used to determine the yearly consumption. To figure out how much it costs to run the TV each year, simply multiply the yearly kilowatts per hour the TV uses by the rate the electric provider charges.
