How much does a Laker Girl earn?

The exact amount that a Laker Girl is paid is unknown, but it is rumored that the pay is $130 a game. Squad members also receive pay for scheduled appearances to promote the Los Angeles Lakers. The Laker Girls perform during home games and other events scheduled by the team.

Each year, auditions are held in July. During auditions, candidates must present a resume and an original dance routine judged by a panel of current Laker Girls. Many of the squad members have other jobs which offer flexibility so they can keep up with their Laker Girls duties.

Past Laker Girls include singer Paula Abdul, choreographer Tina Landon and dancer Vanessa Curry.
