According to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, the Burmese python is the sixth largest snake in the world, and it can weigh as much as 100 pounds. The python can grow as much as 15 feet in length, and some may even get as long as 22 feet.
Pythons are longer and thinner than anacondas, and their inside organs are much longer. They vary in color from tan to yellow-brown and even gray. Some pythons have red marks that are outlined in cream or gold. Along with its intimidating large size, a python will capture its prey by grabbing it and squeezing it until its death.
