Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is not actually made of stone; its walls consist of reinforced concrete that is designed to mimic the appearance of stone or brick. The interior structure of the building includes 600 tons of steel framing, and the exterior is mostly coated with plaster.
This plaster is fiber-reinforced and is made of gypsum. Some fiberglass was also used in the construction of Cinderella Castle, and the roofing on the castle is mostly made of plastic. The castle, which took 18 months to build in the early 1970s, is designed to withstand hurricane-force winds.
