Elmo has won three Grammys. The loveable Muppet won them for Elmopalooza! (1998, Ed Mitchell, producer, Jimmy Hoyson & Ric Wilson, engineers), The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland (1999, Andy Hill, producer), and Elmo and the Orchestra (2001, John Boylan, producer).

Elmo is a red monster Muppet who is three and a half years old and very popular among the Sesame Street watching crowd. In 1998 he was given his own full segment on Sesame Street called “Elmo’s World,” and has come out with many of his own albums. The Muppets have made multiple appearances at the Grammy Awards, including performances with The Shins and Wilco in 2008 and with Cee Lo Green and Gwyneth Paltrow in 2011.
