What is the name of the Indian tribe that lived in Georgia?

The state of Georgia has been called home by many different Native American tribes. Some of these include the Creeks, the Cherokee and the Muskogee.

The Creek, Apalachee, Muskogee, Cherokee and Timucua were among the tribes native to what would become the state of Georgia. The Shawnee and Yuchi tribes later resided in Georgia after being expelled from their homelands by white settlers. There are no federally recognized tribes living in the state today, with the majority of native peoples having been forcibly resettled to Oklahoma in the 19th century. Remnants of these groups are recognized by the Georgia state government
