Where did the Apache tribe live?

The Apache tribes of North America originally lived primarily in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. During the Indian Removal Act of the 19th century, most surviving Apache were settled in southeastern Arizona and western New Mexico.

Apache is a collective name for several nomadic tribes that ranged across present-day Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. They lived primarily on the Great Plains, where they survived by hunting buffalo and other game. However, many Apache also lived in deserts, mountainous regions and river valleys. As a nomadic people, the Apache moved frequently, following weather pattern and the migration of buffalo herds.
