What are the five major beer brands from Japan?

The five major beer brand names from Japan are Asahi, Kirin, Sapporo, Suntory, and Orion. Each one has its own special flavors and market.

Asahi: The Asahi brewery is located in Tokyo and has about a 40 percent share of the Japanese beer market. Asahi Super Dry is one of their most popular brews, followed by Asahi Kuronama, a dark draft beer.

Kirin: Kirin Brewing Company is also located in Tokyo and sells two of Japan's most popular beers, Kirin Lager and Ichiban Shibori.

Sapporo: Sapporo is Japan's oldest beer brand with its headquarters in Ebisu, Shibuya, Tokyo. Their Yebisu lager is one of their popular brews.

Suntory: In addition to beer, the Suntory company also makes Japanese whiskey. Suntory's headquarters are located in Osaka, and they make different malt brews.

Orion: Orion Breweries operates out of Okinawa. They make mild beers with crisp flavors.
