"The Residents" first met in high school in Shreveport, Louisiana. They are best known for their multimedia work and avant-garde music. From 1974-2015, the band has released more than 60 albums, 10 DVDs and gone on seven major tours. When members appear in public they remain silent and wear costumes. Common costumes worn by "The Residents" include tuxedos, top hats and blue eyeball helmets.
