While the U.S. Mint does not produce quarters featuring state parks, it does release quarters dedicated to certain national parks as part of its America the Beautiful Quarters Program. The program began in 2010 and included 56 different designs.
For its first release in 2010, the U.S. Mint released five coins featuring Hot Springs National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park and Mount Hood National Forest. The program is scheduled to release five new designs each year, ending in 2021 with a single quarter devoted to the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site. The program selected sites from each state and five territories.
