Which Native American tribes lived in the southwestern United States?

The Hopi, Pueblo, Zuni, Navajo and Western Apache are a few of the Native American tribes that lived in the Southwestern United States. The Southwestern United States region includes the states of California, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Colorado and Nevada.

The Southwestern region was a desert region that was dry and did not have much access to water. As a result, the Native American tribes that lived there often focused on farming as a food source and lived in adobe homes built out of clay. They also did not wear much clothing due to the dry heat and instead used their hair as a way to cover more intimate parts of their bodies. The Southwestern Native Americans also hunted and are responsible for the mammoth's extinction, as they hunted the animal until there were left.
