What is a naturist family?

Naturist families are those in which multiple family members practice nudism in a recreational or social setting. Nudism is the practice of going nude, usually in an outdoor location. Some naturist families also choose to practice nudism in the home.

According to the Naturist Society, naturists view nudity as a natural extension of body acceptance, and there is not necessarily a sexual component to the nudity. Therefore, naturist families don't consider it inappropriate for family members, including children, to practice nudism. A number of naturist venues and events welcome people of all ages and are open to the whole family.
