A 700r4 transmission is a large unit, often used on older classic cars and pick-up trucks. There are several available variants, all of which increase in size, weight and power capability.

When removing a gearbox, the transmission jack is placed directly under it. The jack is able to extend up to a certain height, at which it then cradles the transmission. When the transmission is released, the jack lowers it down so it can be properly inspected and repaired.
