What are some Neji hand signs?

Some of the hand seals that Neji Hyuga, a character from the Japanese manga series "Naruto," uses are the tiger and snake hand seals. These are based on his nature types: fire release, earth release and water release.

The tiger hand seal is commonly associated with fire release. This is formed by having the hands clasped together with the middle and index fingers and the thumbs pointing straight up. For earth release, the snake hand seal is often used. For this, the hands are clasped together, with the left thumb on the outside.

There are twelve basic hand seals portrayed in "Naruto." They are named after the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac.
