What network does TracFone use?

TracFone is a mobile virtual network operator, or MVNO. Rather than maintaining its own network, TracFone purchases minutes and data from large mobile network operators such as T-Mobile and Verizon as well as some smaller networks. The network a TracFone device uses depends on the device being used.

TracFone's parent company is America Movil, and the TracFone brand family includes other mobile brands such as Net10 Wireless, Straight Talk and SafeLink Wireless. All of these are also MVNOs. The coverage area of a TracFone varies by device and provider, but all TracFone customers can make international calls to more than 50 countries by dialing a toll-free number.
