What is the noble gas notation of hydrogen?
By Forinfos - 14/02/2025 - 0 comments
Hydrogen does not have a noble gas configuration because it its the first element on the periodic table. Only elements that fall after the noble gases on the periodic table can have noble gas configurations.
The noble gases are found in group 18 on the periodic table. They all have similar properties, including being odorless and gaseous in their natural state. Every element except for hydrogen can use noble gas configurations to indicate the electronic configuration of the element. Noble gas configurations are a way of using shorthand to write the electronic configuration of each element, except for hydrogen, on the periodic table.
