Adult Cane Corsos weigh 88 to 120 pounds. They grow to a height of 23 ½ to 27 ½ inches and have a lifespan of 10 to 11 years.
The Cane Corso is native to Italy and was used to hunt and guard property. It has a large head, a heavy body and a short coat that is black, grey, fawn or red. A Cane Corso needs regular exercise and a fence surrounding its property to prevent it from killing small cats and dogs. It needs to be brushed once a week and bathed every three months. Its ears should be cleaned if needed and its toenails should be trimmed often.
