Point Barrow is the northernmost point in the continental USA. Point Barrow is located in the state of Alaska on the Arctic coast.
Point Barrow is also a geographical landmark, as it acts as the point between the Chukchi Sea and the Beaufort Sea in the Arctic. There is evidence that the area was once inhabited by the Inupiat people over 1,000 years ago. Point Barrow is also close to other landmarks, including the crash location of Will Rogers and his pilot, Wiley Post. The crash occurred in 1935. A Global Atmosphere Watch monitoring system is also located near Point Barrow.
