What is an oblique line?
By Forinfos - 21/03/2026 - 0 comments
An oblique line is one that is neither parallel nor perpendicular to another line or figure. The oblique line intersects the other line or figure at some point, so it is not parallel to it.
When the line intersects the other surface, it does so at an angle other than 90 degrees, which means it is not perpendicular to it. An oblique line is one that slopes or slants toward another surface. In an equilateral triangle where all three sides have the same length and all three interior angles measure 60 degrees, each side is oblique to the base. The word "oblique" comes from the Latin "obliquus," which means "slanting."
