Who offers refund-anticipation loans?

Refund-anticipation loans are generally offered by tax-preparation companies. As of 2014, examples of companies that offer refund-anticipation loans during tax season include H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt and Liberty Tax Service. These are some of the largest tax preparation chains in the United States.
To get a refund-anticipation loan, a consumer has to pay for tax preparation and the fee associated with the loan itself. Refund-anticipation loans may also be called refund-anticipation checks to minimize the loan connotation. In some cases, consumers receive their funds via direct deposit into their bank accounts. Some consumers have their funds loaded onto a prepaid debit card.
