How do you get an Ohio Golden Buckeye card?

The Ohio Golden Buckeye card is given automatically to all Ohio residents on their 60th birthday, as long as they have a valid Ohio driver's license or state ID. Residents with eligible disabilities, or those who do not automatically receive a card on their 60th birthday, can apply for one.
- Meet the eligibility requirements
Turn 60 years of age with valid identification, or have an eligible disability.
- Receive your card
Your Golden Buckeye card should come automatically when you reach 60 years of age. If it doesn't, or you meet other requirements, proceed to Step 3.
- Apply for a Golden Buckeye Card
Apply for your card at a public library or senior center.
