What Oklahoma high school has the record for state championship teams?

As of 2015, Ada High School has the record for the most football state championships in Oklahoma. The Cougars have won 19 state titles since 1951, though their last was in 1996.

The central Oklahoma school followed its first state title with a repeat in 1952 and went on to win four more during the decade: 1955, 1956, 1957 and 1959. The Cougars then won three championships in a span of four years (1962, 1964 and 1965), before capturing two more the following decade in 1972 and 1974. The powerhouse would win again in 1980, 1986 and 1988, and its five state titles in the 1990s included 1991 and four straight from 1993 to 1996.
