Are orange ladybugs poisonous?

Orange ladybugs are not poisonous and do not pose a threat to humans. Likewise, ladybugs of other colors, including the well-known black and red species, are not poisonous.
The ladybug insect omits a distinct and offensive odor which protects them from prey. Although the ladybug is harmless to humans, it does pose a threat of toxicity to other insects and animals.
The red and orange colors of this insect also protect it from predators. Many animals and insects that are brightly colored are poisonous, so predators tend to leave even non-toxic species with these colors alone.
The ladybug is found during warm months of the year, and it dines on aphids.
