The Teddy Bear dog, also referred to as the Shih Poo, Poochon or Zuchon depending on the exact mix, are small dogs. They stand no more than 12 inches tall. The Teddy Bear dog gets its name because of its coat. It is soft and fluffy like that of a stuffed animal. They are a low shedding breed but do require regular grooming to prevent knotting and matting in their coat. They need a daily walk for their health as well as play time either indoors or outdoors.
