What is OurSports Central?

OurSports Central is a website that focuses on America's major sports, mostly below the top professional level, as well as alternative sports such as lacrosse and table tennis. The website opened in 1999.

OurSports Central presents news from minor-league baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer. Football levels range from the outdoor Canadian Football League and indoor Arena Football League to lower-level indoor leagues such as the Supreme Indoor Football and the Continental Indoor Football League.

Baseball coverage ranges from the Arizona Fall League to the three Triple-A leagues. OurSports Central covers some top-flight leagues such as the WNBA and Major League Soccer.

Leagues that receive little media attention, such as the National Pro Fastpitch League and Professional Futsal League, also are covered on OurSports Central. Lacrosse coverage includes the outdoor Major League Lacrosse and indoor National Lacrosse League.

Amateur sports also are reported on OurSports Central. They include junior hockey leagues, such as the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, and summer wood-bat leagues for collegiate baseball players.

OurSports Central presents tryout information submitted by teams and leagues. Message boards for sports covered by OurSports Central are provided as well as daily schedules and real-time scores. The schedule/score page, accessible through a link at the top of the home page, includes links to local radio broadcasts.
