What is an oven vent?
By Forinfos - 05/02/2025 - 0 comments
The oven vent releases hot air and moisture from the oven when in use. The vent, typically located on the front of the oven, reduces the build-up of residue inside by allowing heat to circulate. This heat exchange also helps cook food at an optimal temperature.
An oven vent should never be blocked or covered. A blocked vent causes poor air circulation, affecting the utility and cleanliness of the oven. Plastics, paper and items that have the potential to melt or burn should not be placed near an oven vent. To improve the efficiency of the vent, the filters should be cleaned on a regular basis to remove residue.
