What are overhead rolling doors?
By Forinfos - 20/04/2026 - 0 comments
Overhead rolling doors are doors made up of many horizontal interlocking slats or bars hinged together. The whole configuration coils around an overhead drum that is at the head of the doors. They are also known as roller shutters or roller doors.
Overhead rolling doors are either manual or motor driven. The horizontal slats are mostly made of metal. The doors are raised to open and lowered to close. They provide protection against wind, rain, vandalism and burglary. In areas frequently exposed to harsh weather, they are used as insulation and protection against hail damage. They are used in schools, warehouses, kitchens, garages and vans.
