Who owns TNA Wrestling?

As of 2014, TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling is majority owned by Janice Carter, wife of former majority owner Robert W. Carter, who purchased a controlling stake of 71 percent in 2002 from the company's co-founder Jerry Jarrett.
Founded in 2002 by wrestler Jeff Jarrett and his father, Jerry, TNA Wrestling experienced financial difficulty in its initial year. This prompted Jerry Jarrett to sell his controlling stake to Carter's company Panda Energy later that same year. As Carter moved from Panda Energy to its parent company, his wife Janice became majority owner of TNA. Jeff Jarrett still holds a 29 percent stake in the company despite leaving the promotion in early 2013.
