What part of the brain interprets vision?

The cerebrum is the part of the human brain that interprets vision, as well as hearing, speech, reasoning, emotions, learning and fine movement. The occipital lobe of the cerebrum is the area that specifically interprets the color, light and movement observed through vision.

The brain is divided into three parts: the brainstem, the cerebellum and the cerebrum. The largest part of the brain is the cerebrum. It is divided into four lobes: frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital.

The occipital lobe is located in the rear section of the brain. Images viewed by the eye are transferred to the occipital lobe by the optic nerve.
