What are patio tomatoes?
By Forinfos - 28/02/2025 - 0 comments
Patio tomatoes are compact varieties that thrive in containers or small areas. These plants grow to about 2 feet tall; other varieties that grow several feet high.
Each mature patio tomato weighs 3 to 4 ounces, and a single plant can yield 50 tomatoes. While patio tomatoes are shorter than other varieties, they still need to be staked to keep them upright when the weather is windy or when maturing fruit makes the plant heavy. Patio tomatoes require six to eight hours of sunlight a day. Keeping the heavy containers on wheeled bases allows the gardener to move the plants and adjust how much sun and rain they receive.
