Who are Paul and Jan Crouch?

Jan Crouch is an American televangelist and co-founder of the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Paul, her late husband, was also a televangelist and co-founder of the network, along with Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker.

The Bakkers and the Crouchs founded TBN in 1973. As of 2015, TBN is the United States' largest Christian television network and the third-largest group owner of broadcast TV stations in the country.

Jan Crouch was accused by a former employee, the chief finance director of the network, of misappropriating network funds to spend on a lavish lifestyle in 2012. This sparked a great controversy as the network is a registered charity with tax-free status.
