What percentage of guys shave their legs?

The New York Times claims that in 2005 63.6 percent of men, out of the 118 surveyed, said they shave their legs on a regular basis. Men who removed the hair reported feeling more hygienic and attractive without leg hair.
Shaving was not a custom of women in the United States until the 1920s, when dresses were often sleeveless. Women only moved to shaving their legs in the 1930s when beauty writers claimed the hair on legs was unsightly. The movement of men shaving their legs is a recent trend, and there is no direct correlation between shaving and a man's sexual orientation.
