How do you perform flash drive recovery?

Perform a flash drive recovery by first setting up a recovery drive on your computer and then inserting the USB flash drive into the computer for which you want to create a recovery. The necessary recovery tools are transferred from the computer to the flash drive.

1. Prepare for a search

   Click on the lower-left corner of your PC and click Search. A search window appears.

2. Perform the search

   Type "recovery drive" into the search box. Click Create a recovery drive from the list of options that appears. Type your admin password if prompted.

3. Copy the recovery partition

   Click the checkbox for Copy the recovery partition from the PC to the recovery drive. Click Next.

4. Insert a flash drive

   Place a flash drive into any of your computer's USB ports. Click the flash drive on the screen that you want to use, then click Next.

5. Create the recovery

   Click Create to begin to move the recovery files to the flash drive. This process could take a while depending on the size of the recovery.

6. Finish

   Click Finish when the process completes and this button appears on screen. If you want to save memory space on your computer, you may want to select Delete the recovery partition before selecting Finish. Then remove the flash drive.
