According to the American Kennel Club, a pied French Bulldog is a bulldog that is mostly white with small patches of an appropriate color on its coat. Some of the colors allowed are fawn, brindle, black or any other color that does not constitute disqualification.
According to the breed standard set by the AKC in 1991, most colors of pied French Bulldogs are acceptable. The only colors to constitute disqualification are solid black, liver, mouse, black and tan, white and black, and black with white. A dog is considered to have a black coat if there are no traces of brindle in the coat.
