Why do pigeons coo?
By Forinfos - 07/04/2026 - 0 comments
Pigeons make a cooing sound in order to attract a mate or to defend their territories. Pigeons also make other noises when they are content in their nests or as a call of alarm, and baby pigeons make sounds by snapping their beaks and even hissing.
After pigeons mate, the male pigeons tend to make loud noises by flapping their wings repeatedly. Pigeons come in a wide variety of sizes and colors and they can fly at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. They also have strong homing instincts which allow them to find their way home even from far away.
