Do pigs sweat?

Although they have a few sweat glands, pigs are unable to sweat. However, pigs are still able to maintain a healthy body temperature in other ways.
Like humans and other mammals, pigs need to maintain a steady body temperature. Sweating allows many mammals to regulate their internal temperature by cooling the body through the evaporation of water through the skin. In the absence of adequate sweat glands, pigs use other methods to keep cool. On hot days, pigs wallow in the mud or in cool water. These behaviors regulate pigs' body temperature in the same ways that sweating does for other mammals.
