Is Pine-Sol safe to use on wood flooring?

Pine-Sol has altered its formula to make it safe for wood flooring. Pine-Sol can be used to clean wood floors as long as it is diluted and not allowed to puddle on the floor.

Wood flooring is best maintained with regular sweeping using a soft-bristled broom. Professional hardwood floor cleaner is the recommended soap for wood flooring; however, now that Pine-Sol has altered its formula, it is considered safe. Ammonia or oil-based soaps can dull the finish. Products specifically designed to clean vinyl flooring can make wood flooring slippery. Water, Pine-Sol or other liquids should never be left to dry from a puddle because they cause warping in the wood.
