The ideal temperature for serving pinot grigio is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Serving the wine too warm or too cold masks the flavors of the wine.

To chill the wine, place it in the refrigerator for about three hours, then leave it at room temperature for about 30 minutes prior to serving. When drinking, hold the wine glass by the stem to keep your hand from warming the wine above the ideal temperature. Once opened, the wine can be stored for one to three days in the refrigerator. A vacuum wine sealer keeps an opened bottle of wine fresh for several days. These sealers can be purchased at most stores that sell wine.
