How do you place a sanitary napkin?

A sanitary napkin or pad adheres to underwear and is often kept in place by wings. Most brands of sanitary napkins feature an illustration demonstrating proper use on the packaging.

Sanitary napkins range in size, thickness and shape. Choose a sanitary pad that best suits your current flow and feels most comfortable for you. Remove the paper from the adhesive, and place the pad onto your underwear so that it stays in place beneath the vulva. If the pad has wings, wrap them around the underwear. Replace the sanitary pad every 2 to 4 hours or as needed to stay clean.
