What are some plants that grow tendrils?

Plants that grow tendrils include grape ivy, Virginia creeper and sweet peas. Grape ivy is not really an ivy but an evergreen vine that is native to South America. It does best in bright or moderate light but should be kept out of direct sunlight.
Virginia creeper is a vine that is native to North and Central America. It is often mistaken for poison ivy, though poison ivy has three leaflets and Virginia creeper usually has five. Both plants have leaves that can turn scarlet in the fall, and Virginia creeper produces berries that are prized by birds.
Peas, which are legumes, are an abundant food source all over the world. The seeds of the pea plant are edible, and in sugar peas the pods are eaten as well.
