When will Playstation 5 come out?

As of 2014, there is no launch date for the PlayStation 5. In an interview with MTV, PlayStation Software Product Development Head Scott Rohde said, "We tend to start thinking about the development of the next system, surprisingly only a few years into the life cycle of the current gen."

The PlayStation 4 was released in November 2013 for North America, Europe and Australia. According to Rohde, Sony plans to work on "enhancing" the PS4 for "a couple of years" before thinking about developing the next console. Game industry experts agree that there will be a PS5, though there is no development or release schedule yet.
