What is "Pokemon Brown"?

According to the World of Rijon, a resource for Pokémon fan games, "Pokémon Brown" is a hack of the classic GameBoy game "Pokémon Red." The hack takes place in the Rijon region and was refurbished five years after initial release.

The refurbishment saw the removal of spelling errors and other types of mistakes, as well as the addition of more than 70 new Pokémon alongside further challenges and narrative changes. Features of "Pokémon Brown" include a wider range of characters and music tracks than those in "Pokémon Red." With the application of a special patch, gamers can trade new Pokémon with the second-generation Pokémon games.
