How often does the Popeyes menu change?

The timeline on the Popeyes website shows that from 1972 to 2010, over a dozen new items were added to the menu. These included the signature buttermilk biscuits in 1983 and the Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box in 2009.

Popeyes began selling its famous spicy chicken in 1972, and in 1989, the restaurant introduced crawfish to its U.S. menus. In 2008, the chain had a makeover and brought in a number of new products, such as the Bonafide chicken range, which is chicken that is marinated in spices, and then breaded and battered by hand. From 2010 onward, a number of different menu items were brought in, including varieties of iced sweet tea, chicken, dips and Cajun-flavored fish and chicken dishes.
